About
Eloqium TTS
Eloqium TTS is an Android text-to-speech engine and an alternative to the Eloquence text-to-speech engine for Android.
About Eloqium
A configurable speech engine for Android.
Eloqium was created as an Android TTS engine that can be used through the platform’s standard text-to-speech system. It brings together regional voice variants, named voice profiles, speech controls, text-processing features, and a user dictionary in one application.
The project is intended to be useful for everyday reading as well as for accessibility-focused use, particularly where a reader needs more control over pronunciation, punctuation, speech characteristics, or the way structured text is spoken.
Eloqium is developed independently. The application uses the OpenEVV native synthesis core together with its own Android service, text-processing pipeline, settings interface, and dictionary system.
Project
Created and maintained by
Ismail Memon created and maintains the Eloqium TTS project. Development, application changes, documentation, and releases are maintained as part of the Eloqium project repositories.
The project remains independently developed, while its bundled components and historical sources are documented separately so that their origins and licensing can be understood.
Acknowledgements
Special thanks to
Chandu Rathod and Yashraj Shinde are thanked for their support and contribution to the project.
Background and provenance
Components and provenance, documented separately.
Eloqium uses OpenEVV as its native speech-synthesis core. The project also records relevant provenance and attribution for other incorporated material, including the native streaming architecture referenced from EVVDroid and data or notices that have their own licensing terms.
These details are kept separate from the main product experience so that the website can remain readable while the repository continues to provide the deeper technical and legal record.
